Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry has a sole purpose of winning the youth of Shiloh and the larger community in anticipation of the coming of God’s kingdom. The approach is multifaceted and is used to build youth that are Christ centered, future focused, morally outstanding, community minded and leadership driven.

There are opportunities for the youth to participate in various aspects of the ministry. A weekly tutorial program called Read to Succeed offers tutoring on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for youth struggling in various academic areas. It also serves as a venue for the youth to work on their homework, or simply read a book. Youth are rewarded after successfully completing a B or above on their report cards. On Wednesday nights, there is a value-driven youth bible study that instructs youth on topics such as: purpose, value based decision making and healthy lifestyle choices. There is also the Mime Team and the Angels of Praise Dance Team that compliments the Youth Choir and performs on Youth Sunday (5th Sunday). The youth have an opportunity to fellowship as they get together once a month for various activities. They are also active in the Annual New Era Congress for Christian Education where they compete in various areas like orations, bible bowl trivia and best church banner.

A new Children’s Church is underway that provides an avenue for children up to 12 years old to worship God with their peers in an environment tailored to them. For Information contact Sis. Sharon Zellner at 678.898.2306.
