The Usher’s Ministry is a group of servant leaders who offer quality service to all parishioners with a willing heart and a winning smile. Part of their duties include assisting worshippers with finding seating in the sanctuary, opening the doors of the sanctuary and allowing people in at appropriate times, as well as collecting tithes and offerings in an orderly fashion. Shiloh ushers often travel to other local churches with Pastor Lee and other church members to perform their duties as guest ushers.
Quarterly outings including birthday celebrations, dining out, theater visits, bowling, etc. are fun and exciting ways for ministry participations to get to know each other better. In addition, Shiloh Baptist Church ushers participate in community projects by visiting the sick and elderly. Monthly instructional meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
Junior ushers are an integral part of the Usher’s Ministry. They range in age from 4 to 18 years old, and are the future adult ushers of Shiloh. Junior ushers are on duty every second Sunday of the month. Instructional meetings are held every second Saturday of each month at 10 a.m.
