The Trustee Ministry is comprised of a group who serves as custodians of legal documents pertaining to church properties and are responsible for signing documents related to the purchase, sale, mortgage and/or rental of church properties. In addition, Shiloh’s Trustee Ministry is committed to supporting and enhancing Pastor’s vision as well as serving the needs of the community. This is accomplished through the “Nehemiah Plan” adopted by the Trustee Ministry.
The “Nehemiah Plan” is a continuous effort to keep the walls of Shiloh intact, modeled after the book of Nehemiah in the bible. The book of Nehemiah tells a story of common people committed to a great and uncommon goal—to rebuild God’s temple. The Trustee Ministry at Shiloh is also committed to God’s temple—the walls of Shiloh, and they strive constantly to make sure the physical aspect of the church is in order.
The Trustee Ministry has several subcommittees that carries out the “Nehemiah Plan”: finance, building, landscaping, parking and technology. The finance committee ensures an accurate account of all monies coming into the church as well as church expenditures. The building committee is responsible for the emergency and non-emergency systems in the church (fire alarms, security system, HVAC systems, etc.), opening and locking up the buildings, keeping the buildings clean, etc. The landscaping committee is responsible for the beautification of the church grounds. The parking committee ensures orderly parking during services or special events and offers assistance to the car when necessary. The technology committee serves as a ministry that handles the audio/video needs of the church.
